HoustonSkin TM Kristina

Kristina ten Haaf, MMS, PA-C is a nationally board-certified Physician Assistant (PA) through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners and the Texas State Board of Physician Assistants.  

Kristina grew up in Santa Fe, Texas. She earned her undergraduate degree in Medical Humanities at Baylor University in Waco, Texas in 2015. After graduating, she worked at the University of Texas Medical Branch in dermatology, where her passion first began. Kristina went on to obtain her Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University. During her studies, she completed her graduate research in comparing surgical outcomes for melanoma. Following graduation from NSU, she went on to work at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in the Texas Medical Center. She specialized in surgical oncology treating melanoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, advanced squamous cell carcinoma, and other rare cutaneous malignancies.

Kristina joined Houston Skin with clinical experience and a focus on medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She is passionate about helping her patients feel comfortable and confident in their skin. Kristina is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

In her spare time, Kristina enjoys exercising, traveling, fishing, and spending time with her daughter, husband and family.
