Gildo A. Micheletti, MD is a recognized leader and dermatological specialist in the Houston, Texas area. Born and raised in Galveston, TX, Dr. Micheletti attended Rice University in Houston, TX and earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. After completing his internship at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX and a three-year residency at Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, he returned to Houston and opened his private practice in 1977.
Dr. Micheletti served as Chief of Dermatology at Park Plaza Hospital in Houston, Texas for more than 30 years, providing expert care for patients who are experiencing the most difficult and disabling skin conditions. He has given dermatological lectures around the world, including The International Conference on AIDS in 1992. Dr. Micheletti maintains membership in numerous professional associations including American Academy of Dermatology, Texas Dermatology Society, Houston Dermatological Society, Harris County Medical Society and Texas Medical Association. Dr. Micheletti joined Houston Skin/Dermatological Association of Texas part-time in early 2024 and is dedicated to providing superior care to his patients.
In his spare time, he is an avid bridge player and holds the status of an Emerald Life Master. He enjoys family time with his two sons, their wives and 4 grandchildren. His other interests include mineralogy, medieval English history and the history and geography of the Arctic and Antarctica.
