Clear + Brilliant is great for people who want to maintain or prevent early signs of aging and improve overall skin tone and texture. There is not a lot of downtime required for this procedure.
Before the treatment, the skin will be numbed for about 30 minutes. Before starting the laser, eye shields will be applied. The treatment is comfortable and should take less than 15 minutes to complete. It might feel a little bit warm or prickly during the treatment, but if any discomfort is felt, be sure to let your technician know.
Treated skin will turn somewhat red, and you may experience minor swelling for a day or so. After the treatment, you will be given an ice pack, and you may want to take some ibuprofen as well. Dryness or a sandpaper texture is normal for the first few days – this is part of the healing process. During the healing time, be sure to use a gentle moisturizer and cleanser and avoid sun exposure for seven days. Most people will need about six treatments, but these can be spaced out four weeks apart.
